Fill the 9×9 grid so every row, column, and box holds 1 through 9 — no repeats, no guessing.

A Sudoku board is nine 3×3 boxes making up a 9×9 grid. Some cells come filled; the rest are yours to complete so that every row, every column, and every box contains 1 through 9 exactly once. No math, no luck — a well-made puzzle has one solution and one path of logic to reach it. Somehow it's relaxing and rigorous at the same time.

Pip hosts all three difficulties — Easy, Medium, and Hard — so you can match it to your mood. Tap a cell and drop in a number, pencil candidates with Notes, and lean on a Hint if you're truly stuck.

How to play Sudoku

1. Tap an empty cell, then tap a number 1–9 to place it (or just type it on a keyboard).
2. Complete the grid so every row, column, and 3×3 box has 1 through 9 with nothing repeated.
3. Flip on Notes to pencil little candidate numbers into a cell while you narrow it down.
4. Wrong entries get flagged against the solution, so you'll know instantly if a number can't be there.
5. Stuck? A Hint reveals one correct cell — it dings your score a little but keeps you moving.

Tips & strategy

• Hunt "naked singles" first — cells where eight of the digits already appear nearby, leaving only one option.
• Then "hidden singles": a digit that can only fit one spot in a row, column, or box, even if that cell could hold others.
• On harder boards, pencil candidates everywhere. Notes turn a fuzzy grid into a visible elimination.
• Work the fullest rows, columns, and boxes first — fewest blanks means fastest cracks.
• Never guess. There's always one more deduction hiding; slow down and it'll surface.
