Tap the Zelplings as they pop up — just keep your hands off the ones holding a bomb.

Our take on whack-a-mole: Zelplings pop out of their holes and you tap them for points before they duck back down. The catch is that some are clutching a bomb, and tapping one of those hurts. It's a fast, silly test of reflexes and restraint — can you resist swatting everything that moves?

You get 60 seconds and the pace never lets up. Hum hosts it, and it plays with a tap or a click.

How to play Whack-a-Zelpling

1. Zelplings pop up for a split second — tap or click to score.
2. Do NOT tap the ones holding a bomb (💣). Those cost you.
3. The quicker you react, the more you catch before each one vanishes.
4. Keep going for the full 60 seconds.
5. Your score is your total at the buzzer — then beat it.

Tips & strategy

• Look before you tap. The bombs are the whole game, and one careless hit wipes out several good ones.
• Watch the whole board, not a single hole — they pop anywhere and you need to catch it fast.
• Build a rhythm but stay ready to freeze the instant a bomb appears.
• On a phone, park your thumb near the middle so every hole is a short reach.
• Don't panic-mash when it speeds up. Accuracy wins, because bombs punish sloppy taps.
