How to play Word Scramble

1. A word appears with its letters in the wrong order.
2. Work out the real word and type your answer.
3. Nail it and you score, then a fresh scramble lands immediately.
4. Solve as many as you can before the 60-second clock runs out.
5. Your final score is the number you unscrambled — go beat it.

Tips & strategy

• Look for common beginnings and endings first — spotting "-ing", "re-", or "un-" instantly narrows it down.
• Pull the vowels aside and see what consonants are left; grouping them often makes the word jump out.
• Don't get stuck. If a word won't come, skip it — a quick easy solve beats a long stubborn one.
• Say the letters to yourself in different orders. Hearing the sounds triggers the word faster than staring.
• Trust your gut. In a timed game the word that pops up first is usually right.
