About Zelpling Garden & how to play

Plant a seed, tap it ripe, and slowly turn one patch of dirt into a garden the Zelplings run for you.

It starts with a single plot and a pocket of clover. Tap the soil to plant, tap the plant to hurry it along, and tap it again when it glows to harvest coins. Coins buy more plots, better seeds (from humble Clover all the way to the World Seed), and upgrades like Compost and Sprinklers. Before long you'll have more plants than fingers.

That's when the Zelplings move in. Zip walks around replanting empty plots, Pip strolls over to harvest anything ripe, Hum hums your plants into growing faster, and Dodge sniffs out golden harvests worth six times the usual. Pip hosts, which suits a game that rewards patience: the garden keeps growing while you're away, and it's waiting with a pile of coins when you come back.

How to play Zelpling Garden

1. Tap an empty plot to plant the seed you've picked in the Seeds tab.
2. Tap a growing plant to give it a nudge, and tap a ripe, glowing plant to harvest it.
3. Tap the dashed plot next to your garden to buy it when you can afford it. Plots open from the centre outward.
4. Hire Zip and Pip in the Zelplings tab so the garden plants and harvests itself, then level them up.
5. Unlock the Harvest Multiplier in Upgrades, then spend a multiplier coin to boost every harvest for a few minutes. You start with 3 and earn 2 more each time a garden reaches 1M, 1B and 1T.
6. Once a garden earns 1M, replant the grove in the Grove tab. Everything resets, but you keep Greens: +10% on every harvest, forever.
7. Your score is every coin you've ever earned, across every garden.

Tips & strategy

• Hire Zip early. A replanter who never sleeps beats your thumb within the first few minutes.
• The 'Next:' line under each upgrade shows how much more you'd earn per second. When you're unsure what to buy, buy the biggest percentage you can afford.
• 'Use on all plots' switches every plot to your newest seed as each one finishes, so you never lose a harvest mid-swap.
• Greens come from your best garden ever, so replant when you've clearly beaten your record, not every time the button lights up.
• Save your multiplier coins for a garden full of expensive crops. Doubling Zelroot pays far more than doubling Clover.
• Hire Pip and Zip both before you step away: together they earn while you're gone, for up to eight hours.
